Birth of a flame

Haku layed in her bed uneasly squirming some as she looked out the window. She put her hands over her warm belly feeling her unborn move. She had only been pregnant for nine days and was about to give birth to a fire demon. "What a week..." She sighed rubbing her unborn child gently as she felt hard kicks coming from it. "I just hope you dont kill mommy when your born... that wouldn't be nice..." She said as she felt a sharp pain of her contraction. She took a deep breath and sighed as the pain faded. Her doctor came in and checked her with a light smile. "Your almost ready arnt you" he said and pat her large stomach. She nodded tiredly. "Yeah... Do you know how hard it is to get any rest with this going on doc?" She said in an upset tone rubbing her belly. He laughed some. "I see. Well you seem to be doing ok. I think your water will break here within the hour and we can get started getting that little one out so you can both sleep." She nodded and watched him leave with a sigh. She clutched her stomach some as another contraction hit. She was always good at handling pain and this wasn't to hard to get through but she knew as soon as she started to give birth she wouldn't be able to keep from screaming and crying. She sighed not liking the idea of seeming like a cry baby. "Guess I'll have to get over it..." She said. She talked to her belly for a while until she felt a pop from inside her and felt liquid drip down her legs. She frowned and hit a button beside the bed calling her doctor in. "Guess its time to have you huh..." She said as she felt her stomach getting hotter and an intence pain taking over her body. She gripped ahold of her sheets and took deep breaths trying to calm herself. The doctor came in and got her set up. "You ready dear?" he asked her and she shook her head. "Well. Ready or not here it comes." He said with a chuckle. She rolled her eyes hating it when people laughed at their own jokes. She gripped tightly to the end of her pillow as she began to push tears streaking her face. Almost four hours passed and they finaly got the baby to crown. Haku slammed against her pillows hard out of breath and energy. "Damn this is hard!" She said irritated. "Well no one said it would be easy" The doctor said. "Just take a few breaths. once we get past the shoulders it wont be so bad..." He told her. She nodded and sighed shakely as she began to push again feeling her fire child sliding ever so slowly from her body and between her legs. She took another deep breath after a while. "come on" The doctor said. "The babys almost out. Just one more big push and its free." he told her. She took a large breath and pushed down as hard as she could. The roomw was silent for a moment exsept for her labored breaths and then it was filled with the sounds of a screaming baby. Haku smiled some and looked over as the doctor cleaned the baby and made sure it was ok before wrapping it up in a thin blanket. "Congrats Haku. You have succsessfully giving birth to a health fire boy." He said taking it over to her and laying him in her arms. she looked down at the tan boy and noticed he had a paper white fire shape around his left eye. She rocked him gently as he cryed and calmed him down some as he held her finger. "Its alright flame. Mommy has you." She said and kissed his head.
